Magical Releases This November
When it comes to fantasy releases hitting shelves this November, I haven't discovered a huge selection that speaks to me. Perhaps I'm in a different headspace right now—not fully connecting with fantastical stories at the moment. Still, two books managed to capture my interest despite my current reading mood.
The Magicians of His Majesty by Zen Cho
Zacharias Wythe faces more challenges than any newly appointed Royal Sorcerer should handle. Beyond dealing with jealous rivals who'd prefer him dead, England's magical reserves are mysteriously depleting—and nobody understands why. Alarmed by this crisis, Zacharias journeys to Fairyland seeking answers. Along the way, he encounters Prunella Gentleman, a sharp-witted orphan whose magical abilities and quick tongue enchant him completely. However, Prunella guards a secret powerful enough to transform English magic forever.
Monster Sighting and Death by Larry Correia
Las Vegas hosts an extraordinary gathering: monster hunters from across the globe convene for a special symposium. But troubling news arrives swiftly. At a Nevada truck stop, something unleashed a brutal massacre—an unidentified creature unlike anything previously documented. Then a shadowy organization makes an enticing proposition: ten million dollars awaits the team that successfully eliminates this mystery beast. The competition begins. Owen Pitt and his crew grab their weapons and prepare for the hunt.
