The Guilt of Bygone Days takes place in Australia – a land I know relatively little about, and this lack of knowledge was what drew me to try this book. Set against the Australian backdrop, the story follows Mac Faraday, who receives a disturbing late-night call about his teenage grandson Lew.

The Raven promises an exciting spy novel packed with action, plenty of technical detail, and an unusual setting. Siberia has been far too underrepresented in my reading so far. The story centers around a cryptic plea for help from Russian biologist Rogatschow that eventually reaches Dr. Johnny Porter through various channels.

I've read quite a number of crime novels and thrillers, so I'm always on the lookout for that one slightly different thriller – and guess what, I found it! The story revolves around the Berlin-Brandenburg Chemistry Corporation (BBC), an internationally operating conglomerate where late-night meetings are nothing unusual.
